Dear Freedom-Loving Oklahomans,

Our anti-UN Agenda 21/Sustainable Development may be in trouble. The first clue is that Senate leadership assigned HB1412 to the Senate Energy Committee, an odd place for it to be. This may be a ploy to kill the bill. In addition, this committee meets on Thursdays and next Thursday is part of the Easter holiday. The last Thursday that any bill can be heard in a Senate committee is Thursday, April 4, 2013. If it is not heard on that day it is dead.

From the beginning, Representative Sally Kern, the author of HB 1412 in the House of Representatives, was warned that there were “powerful interests” who want to see this bill die. Those powerful interests have never been specifically identified, so, I must conclude that they are operating behind closed doors as cowards in the Oklahoma political process usually do.

Here is the bottom line, we must mount a strong and consistent call campaign of phone calls, e-mails, and personal visits to Energy Committee Chairman Cliff Branan to urge him in the strongest terms to hear and vote on the bill. Be respectful but firm. It will do us no good to offend anyone at this point.

The bill passed out of the House on an overwhelming vote of 67-17. Sally Kern told me it would have been 75-17 if some of the representatives had not had to leave that night. There is no doubt that the citizens of Oklahoma want HB 1412 to pass the Senate and be signed into law by Gov. Mary Fallin. It is up to us however to keep the heat on it.

Please call, e-mail and, if possible, go by and visit Senator Branan every day until April 4th. Senator Branan’s executive assistant has indicated that they are getting calls on the bill and now it it time to create a tsunami.

With God’s help maybe we can push it over the top.

We have come a long way over the last three years and I want everyone to know how much I appreciate your efforts to rid Oklahoma of UN Agenda 21/Sustainable Development.
